?????? is one of the characters in the so-called dancestor group and also one of the Disharmonies. She has the power of the Illusory Miasmic, granting her projection, creation and control of gas that induces powerful hallucinations.
Clara would be intimidated by her, but still beat her surprisingly enough.
Charactistics
Not much is known about her character. Oddly, she seems harmless enough, just because there is so few known about her.
She likes slapstick, and her hobby is doing various forms of visual art.
Her role in the story Chiasmata
Illusory Miasmic does not make an active appearance in the story since she belongs to the group that has left the Location prior to the start of the story.
However, on one of the panels where the LUCA group regroups for the second time, the situation where Jacqueline and Dawn step out from, has a purple fume not unlike the ones Illusory Miasmic creates.
In other universes
She is called 'Kara Merritt' in the PMMM AU. Her appearance is based around 'Celestial' as seen in the reddish-purple colors.
She is one of the first to respond to the memo. She is not really talkative, but expresses that she doesn't yet know what to decide about Forest Viewer's plan to meet LUCA. When he mentions the Regent Restorative, she logs off.
Trivia
- In this fanwork, the traditional Chinese characters under her (瘴氣) read 'Miasma'. These characters can also mean a lot of illnesses, like bad breath.
- She is the only character who has been in the Location with long hair reaching past the shoulders.
- Her associated color, #7500FF, is the inverted form of her dancestor's associated color, #8AFF00.
- Her color is called 'Electric Violet'.
- On various answered asks on Ibrahim's blog, wiped-out white paint can be seen reading her motto, 'Disbelieve your eyes!'.
- She may have been based off Kurloz Makara since they share significant similarities. She and Bright-Eyed Luminary are the only ones whose character they have been likened to do not match their genders/sexes.
- Both were in a group of characters who went through the same trials as the current protagonists are going through, but have escaped them in some way.
- Both have messy, dark hair.
- Both have not said much except their tagline/motto. ('Disbelieve your eyes' and ':o)', respectively)
